Sandhya Chethana project is a project of Suraksha charitable Trust which is reaching the poor & handicapped old aged person in remote villages and slums. It provides free groceries items, fruits vegetable, clothes & medicines. This project identifies person who live in below poverty line section of the society all across Karnataka .It was started to support the old aged people who are deprived of basics amenities such as food clothing and shelter. Suraksha Charitable Trust has endeavoring this noble cause and reaching the old aged persons.
Nowadays old age persons have lost the respect and love from their family members. The old age persons belonging to poor families are starving because poor families cannot afford to feed old age persons. They face harassment from their own family members. Our volunteers and staff members conducted survey and identified 220 poorest old age destitute women. They are below the poverty line and above 60 year of age. Due to financial problems, their family members are not providing sufficient food to these senior citizens. Suraksha charitable Trust has been supporting 20 such old age people’s groceries for every month.
